📘Unit 9- Matter
Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. Everything around us—air, water, soil, plants, animals, and even our bodies—is made of matter.
In Lesson 9 of Class 6 Science, students learn about the three main states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. The lesson explains how particles in each state are arranged differently, which gives matter its shape, volume, and properties.
Students also study how matter can change from one state to another through processes like melting, freezing, evaporation, and condensation. These changes happen due to heat.
This chapter helps students understand that matter is always made up of tiny particles and encourages them to observe changes in matter in everyday situations, such as ice melting or water boiling.
