📘Unit 10- Materials Used in Daily Life
We use many different materials every day. These materials can be natural or man-made, and each has special properties that make it useful for particular purposes.
In Lesson 10 of Class 6 Science, students learn about common materials such as wood, metal, plastic, glass, rubber, cloth, and paper. The lesson explains how these materials differ in strength, hardness, flexibility, and ability to conduct heat or electricity.
Students also explore how materials are selected based on their properties—like using metal for tools, glass for windows, rubber for tires, and plastic for containers. The chapter also introduces biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials.
This lesson helps students understand why different materials are used for different tasks and encourages them to choose materials that are safe, suitable, and environmentally friendly.
